Did you know that a $500K house has become at least 22% smaller between 2018 and 2023 in the United States? It’s true! In a new infographic from construction software company BuilderPad, it was uncovered that a $500K house is now between 22.42% (Maryland) and 50.15% (Montana) smaller than it was in 2018. That’s up to 2,280.46 square feet (Kansas) smaller in only 5 years. 2,280 square feet is larger than the median home in the United States (2,014 square feet). This shocking trend shows no signs of slowing down either. Between the pending housing crisis and inflation crisis, these numbers could be even worse in another 5 years.
