Unfortunately, the New Year’s Eve and Day holiday can be a perilous time for driving.
A recent study by CarInsurance.com shows that some locations are more dangerous than others. Their study analyzed holiday-night fatal crash statistics and found that South Carolina, Mississippi, and Louisiana are the most dangerous places to drive on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
They discovered that Sarasota and Manatee Counties in Florida are the most dangerous places, as well as Davidson County in Tennessee. The most risky hours to drive are between 1 AM and 3 AM, with many drunk driving crashes happening during this time frame as partygoers head home.
