Every state in the U.S. has its own state police force used to enforce state law, patrol highways, and perform many other duties. While most of us are familiar with the standard police uniform (badge, hate, patches, striped pants) this colorful graphic from Wizard Pins shows us the ways that each state’s uniform is unique. From different colors to unique patches, you can spot all the differences here. The graphic also states the year each force was founded. It might be a surprise to learn that Hawaii, the last state to join the Union, established the first police force in 1846.
