Ooma’s new study ranks 49 countries by daily screen time, revealing that South Africa leads by 10 hours per day, followed by Brazil and the Philippines. Younger adults, especially those aged 18 to 34, log the most hours and are more vulnerable to negative effects like disrupted sleep, ADHD, and obesity.
Less developed nations report lower screen time due to limited access to technology, while affluent individuals spend less time on screens, likely due to alternative entertainment options. Over the past five years, countries like Russia and Australia saw screen time rise, while Thailand and India experienced significant decreases.
