The team calculated the percentage of time residents spent working last year and ranked each state accordingly. The map is color-coded by each state’s average. The team that spent the most time working last year was Utah, and the state residents who spent the least time working live in Connecticut. Do the results surprise you? How does your state rank? Overall, many states landed somewhere in the middle at around 21% of last year spent working. Do you think that’s a balanced percentage, or do Americans work too much?
