The team at Preply created a fun study guide in the form of a watchlist of the best movies to watch for English language practice. They recommend subtitles as a good way to practice reading and listening to English while matching the dialogue with facial expressions and other context clues.
The best films on the list scored highly due to simple dialogue delivered at an even pace that doesn’t overwhelm the viewer. Here are their movie recommendations:
• Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
• Maleficent
• The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
• Spider-Man 3
• The Hunger Games
• Spectre
• Aquaman
• The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
• The Matrix Reloaded
• The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
