The oldest on the list is located in Japan. Kongō Gumi began as a construction company building Buddhist temples in 578 and still runs today as a subsidiary of a larger Japanese construction conglomerate. The Meridian Corporation is Kosovo’s oldest surviving business and was just started in 1999 as a beverage distribution industry.
