The U.S. Counties With the Poorest Mental Health

In the United States, the average number of mentally unhealthy days on a national basis, over the course of a 30 day period, is 4.9 days. This is a lot, and believe it or not, it’s even worse depending on where you look. The team at Charlotte’s Web recently took data from the 2022 County Health Rankings to determine where in the U.S. has the poorest mental health, and the findings definitely led them to West Virginia. In West Virginia, a country-high 6.6 mentally unhealthy days is the average for residents, and an astounding 60% of the the top 50 counties in the U.S. with the worst mental health can also be found in West Virginia.
