Of these 131 countries, it’s Nigeria that is most affected, as 16,230.4 daily adjusted life years have been lost to these diseases. From the team at NY Requirements comes this fascinating infographic that analyzes the biggest health burdens for countries around the world. Many diseases were a part of the research, which used data from Global Health Estimates (GHE) by the World Health Organization (WHO), and it was found that the six biggest health burdens around the world were lower respiratory infections (131 countries), HIV/AIDS (28 countries), Tuberculosis (10 countries), Diarrheal diseases (5 countries), Malaria (4 countries) and Measles (2 countries).
